- Lettered three years at Palo Duro HS, where he played with fellow Rebel signee Vern Blair
- A unanimous three-star safety
- Ranked the No. 103 safety in the country by ESPN
- Signs with the Rebels after flipping commitment from UNC
- Chose UNLV over other notable offers from Texas Tech, TCU, UCLA and Kansas State
- Made Texas Football Conference 5A D2 state playoffs twice with the Dons
- Made five INTs to go along with 122 total tackles in his career at PDHS
