Cameron Ortyl was named Assistant Athletics Director/Head Football Athletic Training in summer 2024. He came to Las Vegas after two seasons as an assistant athletic trainer at USC. Before that he served in the same role at the University of Illinois for three seasons starting in 2019. A 2015 graduate of Purdue with his bachelor’s degree in athletic training, Ortyl earned his master’s from Clemson and was a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the 2017 national champion Tigers. The Michigan native was also  twice a summer intern and then a three-year seasonal athletic training intern for the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts.
