Biography

2020 (Junior): Played in 21 games and made 12 starts in right field during the 26 game season shortened by the Covid-19 Pandemic ... Was productive at the plate, hitting .424 (14-for-33) with 11 runs scored, six RBI and four walks ... Recorded an on-base percentage of .462 and a slugging percentage of .424 ... In a 9-4 win over SIUE on Feb. 23, went 2-for-3 with a run scored ... Also went 2-for-3 with one RBI in a 7-1 win at Grand Canyon on March 6 ... Went 2-for-3 (.666) in pinch-hit opportunities with one run batted in.

2019 (Sophomore): Pinch-run specialist off the bench in her second season, appearing in 21 games ... Saw time in the outfield in four games ... Recorded one hit in four at-bats with five runs scored and a RBI.

2018 (Freshman): Quickly took over as the starting CF in her first season, starting 45 of 51 games played in ... Finished the season with a .258 batting average with 16 hits, two RBI and eight runs scored ... The speedy outfielder was a perfect 6-for-6 on stolen bases ... Recorded a .980 fielding percentage with just one error in 50 chances.

HIGH SCHOOL:  A 2017 graduate of St. Paul High School in Santa Fe, California … Lettered all four years and played in the outfield for her school and for the Corona Angelas in Corona, CA from 2014-2017 … Led St. Paul to CIF Divison 3 and state championships in 2014, as well as League championships in 2015.

PERSONAL:  Jaclyn Candelas was born on February 11, 1999 in Bellflower, California … She is the daughter of Aaron and Andrea Candelas, and has a brother named Christopher... She was on the honor roll throughout high school, loves camping and country music... Majoring in Kinesiological Sciences.
