Biography
UNLV:
~Michelle enters her fourth season as an outside hitter.

2005:
~Played in 118 games and all 30 matches.
~She had 224 kills on the season, which ranked fourth on the team.
~Hit for a .625 average (10 kills, 16 attempts) in a 3-1 win at Air Force on Oct. 1.
~She had 10 matches of 10 or more kills, with 20 coming against Cal State Northridge (Aug. 27).
~She had 77 assists on the seasons, seven of which came in a 3-1 road win against Colorado State (Nov. 4).
~She had 17 aces with three coming at home against TCU on Oct. 14.
~She had 290 digs, with 17 matches tallying double-digits, including 19 in a 3-0 win over Arizona State on (Aug. 27).
~She had 40 total blocks of which four assisted blocks came in a 3-1 win over Rutgers on Sept. 10.

~She had 90 kills on the season, 15 of which came against Washington State (Sept. 3).

~She had 31 assists, while on three occasions she totaled four in a game; Wyoming (Oct. 3), New Mexico (Oct. 16) and at San Diego State (Oct. 22).
~She had 16 of her 156 digs come on the road against Wyoming (Oct. 29).
~She had 13 aces, on three occasions she totaled two in a game; San Jose State (Sept. 3), at BYU (Oct. 9) and at Wyoming (Oct. 29).
~She had four of her 12 blocks against San Jose State (Sept. 3).
2003:
~Played in 89 games during her freshman season, finishing with 135 kills, 163 digs and 398 attempts, including a career-high 26 attempts against West Virginia (Aug. 30).

High School:
~A 2003 graduate of Sonora High School in Sonora, Calif.
~She played four seasons of volleyball and participated in basketball and track.
~She earned varsity league championships in 2002 and 2003.
~She was named first-team all-league in 2001 and 2002.
~She earned a junior varsity league championship in 2000 with an 8-0 record.
~She was also a two-time all-league basketball player.

~Daughter of Mark and Kathie Banks.
~She has one brother, Orrin and one sister, Nicole.
~Her uncle, Tommy Banks, played football for the Kansas City Chiefs.
~She is majoring in marketing and communications.
