UNLV HEADS TO NEW MEXICO
UNLV begins its season this coming Monday at the 28th Annual Dick McGuire Invitational, played at the Championship Course in Albuquerque, N.M. This is the third time in the past four years that the Rebels will begin their season at the tournament, which is hosted by New Mexico.
THE FIELD
Arizona State, BYU, Florida, Hawaii, New Mexico State, North Carolina-Wilmington, Oregon, San Diego State, San Francisco, South Carolina, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, UNLV and UTEP.
THE COURSE
The tournament will be played on the Championship Course on UNM's campus.

REBELS AT THE 2005 INVITATIONAL
Elena Kurokawa and Grace Woo both finished in the top 10 to lead the UNLV women's golf team to a fourth-place finish Wednesday at the Dick McGuire Invitational held at the UNM Championship Golf Course. Kurokawa fired her second-consecutive sub par round and the reigning Mountain West Conference player of the year got her senior season off to a strong start, carding a total of 216 (-3) to finish fifth. Right behind her was Woo, who tied for sixth with a score of 217 (-2) in her first collegiate tournament. As a team UNLV finished the tournament with a score of 883 (+7), 10 strokes behind Pepperdine, which won the tournament.

REBELS TO WATCH
In previews of the upcoming year, a trio of Rebels were either named on all-preseason teams or as players to watch. Da Sol Chung was named to Golfweek's and Golf World's Preseason First Team while Kristin Ingram and Natasha Krishna were tabbed freshmen to watch by Golfweek.
REBEL RANKING
The UNLV women's golf team will open the season ranked 18th in the country in Golfweek's preseason poll. The Rebels were also ranked 19th in Golf World's initial poll of the year.
