LAS VEGAS - The Rebels were shut out by San Diego State Sunday afternoon, 4-0.
The Rebels were unable to stop their losing streak, which now stands at five games. They have been unable to score a goal in four out of their past five games. They are now 6-9-1 on the season and 4-4 at home.
The Rebels were able to keep pace with the Aztecs for most of the first half until the Aztecs' Kaycee Mc Elree scored the winning goal in the thirty seventh minute from a pass by Lori La Coursiere. La Coursiere was the star of the game for the visitors with seven shots, two goals and an assist. The Aztecs also had twenty five shots compared to seven for the home team. Bethany Robinson finished off the scoring for the Aztecs with a 25-yard lob shot over the Rebels' Shannon Wilson in the eighty first minute of the game.
The Rebels host the UNLV-FILA Tournament starting on Oct. 29 against Detroit Mercy at 7:00 p.m. The tournament continues on Sunday, Oct. 31 with the consolation game at 2:00 p.m. and the championship game to follow at 4:00 p.m.
