Rebels Expand 2026 Signing Class With Addition Of Olivia Lopez

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's soccer program has received a signed commitment from Olivia Lopez to join the Rebels for the fall 2026 season, head coach Kacey Bingham announced Thursday.

"Olivia is a dynamic outside defender with the pace and athleticism to make an immediate impact," said Bingham. "A tenacious competitor, she brings the ability to shut down attackers while also driving forward and taking on players in the attack. Olivia's speed, work rate, and confidence on the ball will allow her to influence both sides of the game from the back line."

Hailing from Sumner, Washington, Lopez recently wrapped up her career at Sumner High School this past fall. During her four years at SHS, the Spartans won four SPSL league titles, made four state tournament trips and claimed back-to-back district titles from 2023-24. Among her accolades, she garnered all-league first team and honorable mention honors to go along with an MVP award.

Additionally, Lopez played at the club level for Washington Premier FC. She also attended a Regional Olympic Development Program training camp.

The addition of Lopez increases the 2026 class to 10 members set to join the Scarlet & Gray in the fall. That group also features three Las Vegas products (Sophie Baumgart, Emma Flannery & Brooke Kramer) a California trio (Audrina Hernandez, Kaitlyn Lee & Abby Nuez) as well as one player each from Utah (Kamri Yergensen) Hawai'i (Kaila Meyer) and another from Washington (Tatum Jackson).
