Kaila Meyer, Defender, Ewa Beach, HI
A defender from Ewa Beach, Hawai'i, Meyer is heading to her second straight state tournament as a senior at Kamehameha Schools - Kapalāma,. In two seasons on the KSK backline, she has won back-to-back IHL league titles (2025-26) and reached the state championship final as a junior. At the club level, she played eight years for Hawai'i Rush, winning one national championship, four state championships and the 2026 Surf Cup Best of the Best Championship.
"Kaila is a defender who brings exactly what we value in our backline—strength, athleticism, and confidence on the ball," said UNLV head coach Kacey Bingham. "She's someone who can shut down attacks but also initiate our offense by getting forward and playing out of the back. We're excited about the impact she'll have on our program and the competitiveness she brings to UNLV."
Meyer becomes part of the eight-member class joining the Rebels in the fall after their prep careers. That group also features Las Vegas products Sophie Baumgart, Emma Flannery and Brooke Kramer, the California trio of Audrina Hernandez, Kaitlyn Lee and Abby Nuez, as well as Kamri Yergensen from Utah.
