Women's Soccer Rounds Out Roster With Five Transfer Additions

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's soccer program has received signed commitments from five transfers to round out the fall 2026 roster, head coach Kacey Bingham announced Tuesday.

The new additions include local product Sierah McCallum (Henderson, NV) along with Madison Encinas (La Mirada, CA), Morgan Kaiser (Fort Wayne, IN), Macee McKenna (Thornton, CO) and Nao Yamada (Uji Kyoto, Japan).

"We are excited to welcome this outstanding group of transfers to our program," said Bingham. "Each of these players brings unique strengths that will elevate our team. Collectively, they add athleticism, experience, competitiveness, and high soccer IQ while also embodying the culture we are building at UNLV. They are driven, hardworking individuals who will make an immediate impact on the field and fit seamlessly into our team environment. We're thrilled to see how they help push our program forward."

Sierah McCallum, Forward, Henderson, NV | Coronado HS/Pacific
A graduate of Coronado High School in Henderson, McCallum returns home after playing two seasons at Pacific. In 38 career games played at UOP, she made nine starts and tallied six goals and an assist. During her prep career at CHS, McCallum reached three NIAA state championships, winning two state titles while earning state all-tournament, all-league and Nevada Preps All-Southern Nevada Team honors.

"A dynamic attacking player, Sierah brings elite athleticism, strength, and pace to our frontline. Her ability to stretch defenses and create scoring opportunities makes her a constant threat in the attacking third. A proven goal scorer, Sierah possesses the physical tools and finishing ability to impact games and provide an immediate spark," said Bingham.

Madison Encinas, Defender, La Mirada, CA | Baylor/Utah
A defender from La Mirada, California, Encinas transfers to the Rebel program after spending the last two years in the Big 12 at Utah and Baylor. After redshirting at Baylor, she logged three games played with the Utes, helping the squad pick up a pair of shutouts in a stretch that saw it allow just one goal. Encinas' prep career saw her earn all-league and academic first selections at Rosary Academy. She also competed at the club level for Slammers KB Hoge.

"Madison joins the Rebels as a high-level centerback with experience competing at the highest levels of the game. A composed presence in the backline, she combines strong defensive instincts with excellent vision to initiate attacks from deep positions. Her tenacious defending, leadership qualities, and ability to read the game make her a valuable addition," said Bingham.

Morgan Kaiser, Midfielder, Fort Wayne, IN | Oakland/Queens University of Charlotte
A midfielder from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Kaiser will reunite with current Rebel assistant coach Austin Rios, who she played for previously at Queens University of Charlotte in 2025. Before going to QU, Kaiser appeared in 32 matches in two seasons at Oakland, making 18 starts and registering over 1,700 minutes played.

"Morgan brings toughness, grit, and relentless work ethic to the defensive midfield position. A true defensive weapon, she consistently disrupts opposing attacks and competes with intensity in every phase of the game. Her determination, physicality, and commitment to winning the ball back make her an important addition to our midfield core," said Bingham.

Macee McKenna, Midfielder, Thornton, CO | Missouri State
A midfielder from Thornton, Colorado, McKenna comes to Las Vegas from Missouri State. As a redshirt sophomore last year, she appeared in each of the squad's 20 matches, starting 10 of them and totaling one assist to go along with over 800 minutes played. She was also named to the AAC All-Academic Team and to the MSU Athletic Director's Honor Roll for the fall semester.

"Macee adds significant collegiate experience to the midfield and will play a key role as a defensive midfielder. A proven possessor of the ball, she excels at maintaining possession, connecting lines, and helping control the tempo of the game. Her ability to read play, make smart decisions, and provide stability in the midfield will be a major asset," said Bingham.

Nao Yamada, Forward, Uji Kyoto, Japan | Salt Lake Community College
Originally from Uji Kyoto, Japan, Yamada makes her way to the Scarlet & Gray from Salt Lake Community College. In two seasons at SLCC, she helped the Bruins claim a Region 18 championship and reach the NJCAA semifinals in two national tournament trips. Yamada completed her JUCO stint with 36 games played, 18 starts, 10 goals and seven assists.

"A crafty and playmaking forward, Nao brings exceptional technical ability and a high soccer IQ to the attack. Her elite ball skills and tactical understanding allow her to unlock defenses and create chances for herself and her teammates. Most dangerous in wide areas, Nao's versatility and creativity will add another dimension to our attack," said Bingham.

The group will join the Rebels alongside the 10-member 2026 signing class coming to the UNLV campus in the fall. The list of incoming players also features three more Las Vegas products (Sophie Baumgart, Emma Flannery & Brooke Kramer) a California trio (Audrina Hernandez, Kaitlyn Lee & Abby Nuez),  two from Washington (Tatum Jackson & Olivia Lopez), as well as one player each from Utah (Kamri Yergensen) and Hawai'i (Kaila Meyer).
