HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The seventh-ranked UNLV golf team shot a second-round 10-under-par 278 and is in a tie for seventh place at the 18-team Rolex/Golf World/Palmetto Dunes Collegiate Invitational, presented by Cleveland Golf played at the par-72, 6,651-yard Aurthur Hills Golf Course Saturday.
The Rebels (286-278-564) are tied with Oklahoma State (285-279-564) and Clemson (284-280-564) at 12-under. Georgia Tech (281-273-554) and Georgia (279-275-554) are tied for the team lead at 22-under, followed by South Carolina (278-277-555), Texas (272-288-560), UCLA (283-278-561) and Arizona State (285-278-563).
Individually, Georgia's Erik Compton (66-66-132) is the leader at 12-under. UNLV's Jeremy Anderson (70-64-134) shot a second-round 8-under to claim a share of second place. Anderson is tied with Clemson's Lucas Glover (6-68-134).
Other Rebels competing are Adam Scott (T21st/71-69-140), Michael Kirk (T29th/72-70-142), Calvin Kupeyan (T71st/73-77-150) and Scott Lander (T80th/77-75-152).
The tournament concludes Sunday with 18 holes.
