HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The seventh-ranked UNLV golf team shot a final-round 2-under-par 286 to finish tied for seventh place at the 18-team Rolex/Golf World/Palmetto Dunes Collegiate Invitational, presented by Cleveland Golf played at the par-72, 6,651-yard Aurthur Hills Golf Course Sunday.

The Rebels (286-278-286-850) finished tied with South Carolina (278-277-295-850) at 14-under. Georgia (279-275-283-837) won the team title at 27-under, while Georgia Tech (281-273-287-841) finished second, four shots back. Rounding out the top six were Texas (272-288-282-842), Clemson (284-280-279-843), Arizona State (285-278-283-846) and Florida Southern (286-284-278-848).

Individually, Georgia's Erik Compton (66-66-71-203) held on to win medalist honors at 13-under. UNLV's Jeremy Anderson (70-64-71-205) tied with Florida Southern's Jeff Klauk (70-68-67-205), Georgia's Nick Cassini (69-67-69-205) and Clemson's Lucas Glover (66-68-71-205) for second place, two shots back.

Other Rebels competing were Adam Scott (T11th/71-69-68-208), Michael Kirk (T51st/72-70-76-218), Scott Lander (T69th/77-75-71-223) and Calvin Kupeyan (T76th/73-77-76-226).

The tournament wrapped up the fall season for the Rebels.
