LAS VEGAS - The unranked UNLV women's tennis team broke its 13-match losing streak with a 5-4 win over 71st-ranked Central Florida at the Fertitta Tennis Complex Tuesday.

The Lady Rebels improved to 4-13 and 3-6 at home while the Golden Knights closed out their regular season at 14-6.

UNLV began the day by taking four of six singles matches. Winning for the Lady Rebels, all in straight sets, were Susie Kocsis, Marianne Bakken, Britta Gabl and Urska Radanovic. At the top spot, UCF's Veronica Widyadharma, ranked 51st, downed Veronica Goude, 6-4, 6-4.

The Lady Rebels then needed just one doubles victory to take the match and got just that as Goude teamed with Bakken to down Sonja Prokopec and Daniela Okal at the second position 8-3.

The Lady Rebels next host 32nd-ranked San Diego State Saturday at 10 a.m.
