Women's Soccer Stretches Home Unbeaten Streak to Five

LAS VEGAS, NV - After a scoreless first half, the Rebels scored three times to put away Long Beach State 3-1 Friday night.

The win extends their home unbeaten streak to five games, and they improve their all-time home record to 8-1-1.

Suzanne Jensen led off the scoring with a shot from about 30 yards out on the right side. Janae Sims was the star of the evening, scoring two goals, her fourth and fifth of the season. Her first goal was assisted by Anita Pedford with a pass up the middle, leading to a breakaway goal. Her second goal was a cross pass to the front of the goal which she one-timed past the goalkeeper.

The Rebels will finish their homestand with matches on Sunday, Sept. 26 against Cal State Northridge and on Friday, Oct. 1 against Kentucky.
