LAS VEGAS - The UNLV Alumni team held off a late rally by the Rebels to win 2-1. Lori Harrigan, 1991-92 All-American, struck out nine Rebels in her four innings of work, while Sophomore Nicole Truax only gave up three base hits.

The game remained scoreless until the top of the seventh when the Alumni tallied two runs with a double by Sheree Corniel. The Rebels began a comeback in the bottom of the seventh, but came up short scoring one run and stranding Racheal Goodpaster on third.

UNLV will host Southern Utah in a doubleheader at the Rebel Diamond Saturday, February 5. Game one will start at 12 noon with the second to immediately follow.
