UNLV Softball Inks Six For Incoming Class of 2026

Paityn Fritz, Emma Glazier, Soleil Luna, Caitlin Mayfield, Kelsie Skaggs and Taylor Tollestrup will join Head Coach Kristie Fox’s squad in fall 2026

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV Softball has officially signed six players to the 2026 incoming class, head coach Kristie Fox announced today.
 
The group - Paityn Fritz, Emma Glazier, Soleil Luna, Caitlin Mayfield, Kelsie Skaggs and Taylor Tollestrup - will join the squad next fall after signing commitments during the first week of the signing period.
 
Paityn Fritz | P, INF | Salina, Kansas
 
Fritz, a four-year letterwinner at Salina South High School under coaches Sam Huffstickler and Brea Vidrine currently holds the home run record with the Cougars. She is a two-time first team all-league utility player, a first team all-state selection and a second team all-state player. During her sophomore season, she roped a total of 31 home runs for the school record and topped that her junior year collecting 48 home runs to set the new record. Her junior year, Fritz batted a .552 to go with a 1.057 slugging percentage and a 1.67 on-base percentage. In the circle, she has struck out 209 batters faced in 216.3 innings of work. Fritz has also lettered in volleyball and basketball at Salina South.
 
Emma Glazier | CF | Raymond, Washington
 
Glazier, a four-year letterwinner at Raymond High School under head coach Dakota Fluke helped the Ravens to a district championship her junior season while batting a .444 with an on-base percentage of .538. She also had 33 hits, 12 home runs and 39 RBI during the championship season run. Glazier is a two-time first team all-league selection and won the league's MVP her junior year. SHe is also a three-year letterwinner in basketball and is a two-time all-league second team selection.
 
Soleil Luna | SS | Brea, California
 
Luna is currently ranked third nationally on the ODM Allister Index as a shortstop and will graduate from La Sierra High in Fullerton, California. She leads the West Coast Class of 2026 in batting with a .531 average and ranks second in all age groups on the West Coast in the same category. In the nation, she is third in the Class of 2026 in batting average and ninth in all age groups. Currently in the fall, Luna holds a .531 batting average with 34 hits, 27 runs scored, six RBI and four homers. She additionally has 16 stolen bases thus far in the fall. In the spring of 2025 for La Sierra, Luna batted a .441 to go with a .735 slugging percentage. She tallied 30 hits, scored 32 runs, had 22 RBI and knocked four home runs. Luna was named the Top Performer in 2024 for USA Softball's National Selection Event. She additionally has played for USA Softball So Cal All Star Tokyo Exchange in 2024 and 2025. Luna has also lettered in track and surf at La Sierra.
 
Caitlin Mayfield | C, 3B | Woodland, California
 
Mayfield, a four-year letterwinner at Pioneer High School under head coach Linda Merrida helped the Patriots to a first-team all-league and academic all-league accolades. Last season, Mayfield batted a .417 to go with an on-base percentage of .517 and a slugging percentage of .708. She additionally had 10 home runs. In her sophomore season, Mayfield tallied 40 home runs and a batting average of .471 with a slugging percentage of .753 and an on-base percentage of .536. In her first season at Pioneer, Mayfield batted a .390 with 32 home runs and a .512 slugging percentage. She played travel softball with Grappettes Merrida 18UG.
 
Kelsie Skaggs | SS | Oakley, California
 
Skaggs, a four-year letterwinner at Liberty High School under coaches Brandi Macias and Cindy Marcias, helped the Lions to three straight Bay Valley Athletic League championships, the 2025 North Coast Section D1 championship, the 2025 Nor Cal High School Classic championship and 2025 CIF State second place finish. She is a three-time Bay Valley Athletic League All-League selection, a two-time Livermore Stampede All-Tournament team, the 2025 Defensive Player of the Year, two-time Dutch Bros Player of the Game, two-time West Coast Preps Athlete of the Week and a two-time 49er CalHi Sports plays of the week. She additionally was named in the Top 30 Extra Innings High School ranks in 2023 and the 49ers CalHi Personal Interview in 2025. Off the field at Liberty HS, she is a three-time scholar athlete and three-time academic honor roll selection. Outside of her high school accomplishments, Skaggs was named to the PGF National Watchlist twice while playing for Sorcerers Gabales/Rodriguez Gold, an All-American All-Star Game selection with All American Sports Academy - Camarena (12-14U). Additionally with the All American Sports Academy, she was named to the PGF Bomb-Squad and received PGF Gold-Glove honors. Skaggs also has some international experience with the Triple Crown International Challenge South Korea 18U.
 
Taylor Tollestrup | SS | Fernley, Nevada
 
Tollestrup, a three-year letterwinner at Fernley High School under head coach Diane Chapin helped the Vaqueros to a 2024-25 3A State Championship and a 2023-24 3A State Runner-up finish. Tollestrup was named the 2024-25 3A Northern Nevada and North Eastern MVP after batting a. 647 on the season. In addition, she is a three-time 3A All-North, All-North East and 3All-State first team honoree. Tollestrup also ranks third in the nation for stolen bases, after collecting 74 in 2024-25. She also ranks ninth in the nation for runs scored with 80 last season. Tollestrup is also a three-year letterwinner in basketball.
