LAS VEGAS - Linda Fr?hlich recorded her 10th straight double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds to lead all players as UNLV defeated Navy 74-56 in a women's basketball game at the Thomas & Mack Center Tuesday.
Fr?hlich also recorded game-highs of seven assists and six steals. Carlesa Dixon was the only other player who scored in double figures for UNLV (7-5) recording 11 points.
The Lady Rebels dominated the glass, out-rebounding Navy 39-23 for the game. UNLV shot 50 percent to Navy's 43 from the field.
The Midshipmen (2-8) were led by Erica Hayes' 23 points. Jennifer Bombinski added 11 points and pulled down a team-high six rebounds.
After holding a 39-26 halftime lead, UNLV opened the second half with a 16-9 spurt to lead 55-35 with 11:16 to play and never looked back.
UNLV will continue its four-game homestand on Saturday, Jan. 8, as it hosts Valparaiso at 7:35 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center.
