LAS VEGAS - UNLV will make its first-ever appearance on ESPN2 when the Rebels travel to Colorado State on October 14 for a key Mountain West Conference clash. Kickoff, originally scheduled for 3 p.m. PDT, has been moved to 6:30 p.m. PDT to accommodate television.
Against the Rams, UNLV will be making its first national television appearance since defeating Central Michigan 52-24 in the 1994 Las Vegas Bowl (Dec. 15), which was shown live on ESPN. Last Saturday's 34-13 UNLV victory over Air Force was shown by ABC on a regional basis. This week's game vs. Nevada, Reno will be produced by SportsWest and can be seen locally on Gold 33 (Cable 6).
The CSU game will mark the fifth time in six weeks that the Rebels have appeared on television, which breaks the school record of four appearances set in 1999 during head coach John Robinson's first season.
Currently, four additional UNLV games are slated to be broadcast by various outlets (Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico and San Diego State).
