LAS VEGAS - Saturday's UNLV vs. Hawaii football game will be shown live in Southern Nevada courtesy of Cox Communications, the school announced Tuesday.
The game, which UNLV must win to earn a bid to a postseason bowl, will air live at 8 p.m. PST on Cox channel Metro 48.
The broadcast will originate from Hawaii station KFVE TV-5. The announcers will be Honolulu's Jim Leahy and Larry Goeas.
"We are pleased that our fans will get to see the Hawaii game thanks to Cox Communications," UNLV senior associate athletic director Jerry Koloskie said. "We thank them for their help in making one of the most important games in school history available in Southern Nevada's living rooms."
The game will begin shortly after the UNLV men's basketball team finishes playing at Oklahoma State, a game that will be televised on KFBT Gold 33 beginning at 5 p.m. PST.
Saturday will mark a school-record 10th UNLV football game televised in Las Vegas this season. The previous record for TV games was four, set in 1999 during head coach John Robinson's first season. This fall, UNLV also has appeared on ESPN+Plus three times, SportsWest three times and ABC, ESPN2 and KFBT once each.
