LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV football will host Memphis for the first time in history to kick off its 2026 season as part of a home-and-home series announced by the schools Thursday.
The Tigers of the American Conference will come to Allegiant Stadium for Week Zero on August 29 (time and TV TBA) while the Rebels will return the game at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium on Sept. 15, 2029.
This year's game will feature a first-ever matchup of two of the nation's winningest programs over the last three seasons as UNLV has posted a record of 30-12 since the start of 2023 and Memphis, which has never played in the Silver State, had a 29-10 mark.
Memphis will be the first of two American Conference opponents for the Rebels this fall as head coach Dan Mullen's squad heads to play North Texas on September 12. UNLV also plays at Akron of the MAC on September 26 and hosts Cal of the ACC on October 3 as part of its non-conference slate.
In Mountain West play, the Rebels host UNR, Wyoming, UTEP and NIU at Allegiant Stadium this season and travel to Hawai'i, New Mexico, San Jose State and Air Force. Dates for those games are expected to be released by the league in late February.
