LAS VEGAS - Cal State Northridge hit 13 of 15 free throws over the last 3:08 to post an 84-69 upset victory over the UNLV women's basketball team at the Thomas & Mack Center on Tuesday night.
UNLV (6-2) led by as many as 12 in the second half before CSUN (4-5) made their second-half run. Kristi Rose led a 15-2 run by the Matadors to erase the deficit just after halftime, scoring 20 of her 26 in the second half.
Two Rebels logged double-doubles on the evening. Linda Fr?hlich led UNLV with 17 points despite 4-of-16 shooting from the field and added 11 rebounds. Brooke Ingalls recorded her first career double-double with 11 points and 11 boards.
The loss snaps a three-game home winning streak for UNLV, which will play its next six games in the Thomas & Mack Center. Their next contest will be Saturday, Dec. 23 when they host Pacific at 7:35 p.m.
