LAS VEGAS - The 59th-ranked UNLV men's tennis team fought off the cold conditions as well as Northern Arizona in moving into the finals of its own tournament at the Fertitta Tennis Complex Saturday.

The Rebels, who improved to 2-3, defeated the Lumberjacks 6-1 by sweeping doubles play and then taking five of six singles points.

Winning for UNLV were Vladimir Pavicevic, Danny Erez, Tyler Roberts, Gregor Skorin and Robbie Parladie. Zivkovic and Skorin, who were ranked No. 1 in the nation a year ago today but have played together sparingly since, teamed up for an 8-4 doubles win at the top spot. Pavicevic and Erez also won their match as did Parlade and Roberts.

The Rebels will face 66th-ranked Texas-Arlington in Sunday's final, which is slated for noon. The Mavericks were 5-2 second-round winners over Cal Poly.
