Women's Basketball Runs Past Air Force 86-53

LAS VEGAS - Linda Fr?hlich led all scorers with 18 points as UNLV ran past Air Force 86-53 in a Mountain West Conference women's basketball game Thursday at the Thomas & Mack Center.

UNLV led 49-24 at halftime and out shot the Falcons 49 to 35 percent for the game. The Lady Rebels shot 61 percent in the first half on 19-of-31 shooting to take the commanding lead. UNLV forced Air Force to commit 30 turnovers for the game.

The Lady Rebels (12-11, 4-6 MWC) were assisted in the win by Constance Jinks' 17 points. Carlesa Dixon contributed 13, while Kinesha Davis had 12. Davis led all players in rebounds with eight, while Dayna Gambill led in assists with nine.

Air Force (4-18, 1-8) was led by Rozalyn Russ' 14 points.

UNLV's next action will be on Saturday, Feb. 19, as it hosts New Mexico at 7:35 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center. It will be "Pack the Mack" night and all tickets will be sold for $2.
