LAS VEGAS - The UNLV Rebel Softball team defeated the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes 5-3 today at the Rebel Diamond. UNLV is now 10-4 on the season and will face Texas A&M and Pacific this weekend at the UNLV Mini-Tourney held at the Rebel Diamond on Saturday and Sunday.

The Rebels scored three runs in the first that was capped on a deep base hit by Courtney McCandless that drove in Charelle Ainslie and Racheal Goodpaster to make the score 3-2 in favor of UNLV. UNLV then sealed the game with two more runs in the fifth inning. Ainslie was hit in by Geney Orris and McCandless earned her third RBI of the game on single that scored Cassi Dysert.

Orris earned her sixth win of the year and Nicole Truax picked up her first save.
