HONOLULU - UNLV's Jeremy Anderson shot a six-under 66 for the third straight day on Friday and cruised to the individual championship of the 24th Annual John A. Burns Intercollegiate played at the par-72, 6,916-yard Leilehua Golf Course.
The ninth-ranked Rebels (280-284-278--842) made up two shots on the leader with their tourney-best 10-under 278 final round, but still fell 12 strokes short of winner BYU (276-274-280--830).
Arizona and Oklahoma State finished in a tie for second place at 839 while New Mexico finished fifth at 852.
Anderson, who took over the lead for good after round two, finished seven strokes ahead of BYU's Billy Harvey. Rebel Scott Lander turned in a final-day round of 68 to climb into a tie for fifth place overall.
