LAS VEGAS - With more than 20,000 people expected to attend UNLV's season-opening football game vs. North Texas Saturday, the school has released a list of tips to help avoid traffic delays.

Foremost, fans are urged to arrive as early as possible. Parking lots at Sam Boyd Stadium open at 3:00 p.m., which is four hours before the 7:00 p.m. kickoff.

From the north, Tropicana Avenue will act as the main artery to Sam Boyd Stadium. Accessing Russell Road from U.S. 95 continues to be the best route into the stadium.

Traffic can also enter south of the stadium by taking Russell and going right onto Boulder Highway. A left onto Gibson Road will take you to Broadbent Road and into the stadium. Finally, fans also can enter east of the stadium. Take Sunset across Boulder, take a left onto Burns and left onto Wiesner Road, which leads behind Sam Boyd.
