Lady Rebels Topple Air Force

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The UNLV women's basketball team held the Air Force Academy to just 42 points and 24-percent shooting en route to a 31-point win at Clune Arena on Saturday.

The Rebels (12-4, 2-2) maintained a thick defense in the interior throughout the game, not allowing the Falcons (3-13, 0-3) an attempt from inside three-point range for the first 16 minutes of the game. UNLV also dominated the game on the glass, posting a 37-30 edge in rebounding.

Individually, Petra Gl?ser led the Rebels with 17 points and four assists. Linda Fr?hlich And Dayna Gambill joined her in double figures in the scoring column with 11 and 10 respectively. Kinesha Davis scored nine points and pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds.

The victory improved the Rebels to a perfect 8-0 this season on Saturdays and maintained a string a three straight victories over Air Force by at least 30 points.

The Lady Rebels will complete their three-game road swing at San Diego State next Saturday, Jan. 27.
