Although they took different routes to get there, UNLV men's golfers Clark Corbett and Ryan Moore are both at even par after the first two rounds of the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate at the Old Overton Club on Monday.

Corbett (70-72--142) began the day hot and stood among the tourney's leaders after the first 18 at one-under par. He gave the stroke back in the nightcap, however, and is tied for 18th overall, six strokes behind Wake Forest's Bill Haas (71-65--136) for the individual lead.

Moore (74-68--142) rebounded from a three-over round in the opener with a 68 in the second round, the squad's low score of the season.

Despite two players in the top 20, the Rebels are quite a bit behind Wake Forest, which holds a commanding lead with one round to play. The Demon Deacons (279-276--555) are 13-under par, 11 shots better than Oklahoma State and Arizona who are tied for second.

Tacking strokes onto the UNLV total were Calvin Kupeyan (77-75--152) and J.C. Deacon (75-77--152), who stand in a six-way tie for 44th at 10-over. Both totals figured into the Rebels' team score as Brett Foulds (77-77--154) shot 12-over par.

The Rebels look to make up some ground in Tuesday's final round.
