LAS VEGAS - The UNLV women's basketball team will be signing autographs on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 2-3 p.m. at the Galleria Mall located in Henderson.

This year's women's basketball marketing campaign is combining music and basketball. In an effort to increase excitement and interest with the program, the UNLV Sports Marketing department will market and promote the Lady Rebels similar to an MTV pop music group - and this season, "Pop Hoops" is the hottest hit in town. Fans and supporters will be able to pick-up "Pop Hoops" posters and 2001-02 schedule cards at the signing.

The Lady Rebels, already tabbed by several major basketball publications as a preseason top 25 team, commence play on Thursday, Nov. 8 against Delta Kosice (Slovakia) in an exhibition game slated for 7:35 p.m. at the Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas.
