SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The UNLV women's tennis team competed Friday in the Omni Hotels Western Regional Women's Tennis Championships at the Barnes Center in San Diego, Calif.

In singles action, UNLV's Agnieszka Abram defeated San Diego State's Katey Becker 6-0, 6-3 before falling to Sarah Gregg of UCLA, 6-4, 6-2.

Rebel Tracie Chong won her first match over Arizona State's Joslynn Burkett 6-2, 6-4, but fell to third-seeded Maureen Diaz of USC 6-1, 6-3 in round two.
