Two Women's Netters Eliminated At National Tourney

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - Both UNLV singles entries were eliminated in the first round of qualifying at the Women's All-American Championships at the Riviera Country Club Tuesday.

Junior Paulina Janus, who was ranked 41st and seeded 9-16, retired after falling behind in the first set, 5-2, to Jennifer Radman of South Carolina.

Sophomore Agnieszka Abram, ranked 100th, also was eliminated, 6-4, 6-1, to Carole Soubis of Mississippi State. Janus and Abram were eliminated in the second round of qualifying doubles on Sunday.
