Lady Rebels Fly By Air Force

SAN DIEGO - The UNLV women's tennis team won its third consecutive Mountain West Conference match, 4-3, over Air Force on the campus of San Diego State Friday. The Lady Rebels, ranked 65th, improved to 8-11 overall and 4-2 in the league while the Falcons fell to 12-13 and 1-5.

UNLV began the day by sweeping three doubles matches for one team point.

In singles play, UNLV got victories from Paulina Janus at the top spot, Britta Gabl on court five and Amy Hadziosmanovic in the sixth position. After the Lady Rebels clinched the victory at 4-1, the two remaining matches moved to a tiebreaker system and Air Force won both to draw within one.

UNLV closes out its regular season Saturday with a match in San Diego vs. New Mexico.
