LAS VEGAS - Fans 12 years old and younger can receive a free ticket to UNLV football's home opener vs. Big 10-Conference favorite Northwestern, the school announced Monday.
As part of the NCAA's national Take a Kid to the Game Program, children 12 and under will receive a complimentary ticket for every adult ticket purchased for the Sept. 7 game between the Rebels and Wildcats. The tickets must be acquired in person and the specially marked free kids tickets are available only at the time the adult ticket is purchased and are subject to availability.
Individual tickets for the Northwestern game are priced at $17 in the end zone and $30 for sideline seating.
Now in its fourth season working with college football, the TAKG program saw more than 180 schools participate in 2000. However, this fall will mark the first time Rebel football has been involved.
Tickets for this special promotion can currently be purchased at the Thomas & Mack Center box office Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., or on the day of game at the Sam Boyd Stadium box office, which opens at 10 a.m. on Sept. 7 leading up to the 5 p.m. kickoff.
