SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Air Force (4-12): The Falcons are searching for a turnaround, after posting an 0-3 start in conference play with 20+ point losses to New Mexico, Utah and BYU. Prior to MWC action, Air Force won its annual battle within the branch services against Army (77-52) and Navy (85-69) for two of their four victories of the year, which also included Sacramento State and Cal State Fullerton. The Falcons are guided by first year coach Ardie McInelly and are averaging 12.2 steals per game, more than their opponents average per game (10.8). Sophomore Amoy Jackson is the team's leading scorer with 11.0 ppg and rebounder with 5.6 rpg. She is the only cadet this season to record a double-double.

New Mexico (14-4): The Lobos would perhaps like to seek revenge in this weekend's conference rematch with the Lady Rebels. Not long ago on Jan. 6, New Mexico would fall to UNLV, 62-53, in a nationally-televised game on ESPN2. It was also only the Lobos' third loss at home this season at The Pit, which made the feelings deepen among the pack. Since the conference opener, UNM has shifted gears by going on a three-game rampage against Air Force (64-43), BYU (58-52) and Utah (66-55). Their current 3-1 record in league play has allowed the Lobos to move up to second-place in the latest MWC standings, right behind 19th-ranked Colorado State. Junior Jordan Adams, a Nevada native, leads New Mexico in scoring (16.3 ppg) and rebounding (6.3 rpg).

SERIES HISTORY
Since their first meeting during the 1996-97 season as past members of the Western Athletic Conference, UNLV has commanded the all-time series versus Air Force at 9-1. The Falcons were able to defeat the Lady Rebels once, 67-62, in that inaugural meeting between both schools back in 1997. UNLV has swept the season series each year since. Already challenging New Mexico earlier this season in the conference opener on Jan. 6, the Lady Rebels took their 15th win all-time against the Lobos to set the series record at 15-5. They look to sweep the series this weekend and have only lost one game thus far (4-1) to the Lobos in Mountain West Conference play the last three years.

FR?HLICH UNLV AND MWC ALL-TIME LEADING SCORER
Senior All-American Candidate and two-time All-American Honorable Mention Linda Fr?hlich eclipsed the UNLV all-time scoring record of 1,892 points held by former Lady Rebel and two-time All-American Misty Thomas (1982-86). The 15-year-old record went down after Fr?hlich posted a double-double with 22 points and 16 rebounds against intrastate rival Nevada, Reno on Dec. 9. Fr?hlich is also the Mountain West Conference's all-time leading scorer and rebounder. In league games, she has tallied 654 points and 340 rebounds to-date. Overall, she has produced 1,476 points and 596 rebounds in the MWC's three-year history.

DESTINATION: 1,000-POINT ELITE
Junior guard Constance Jinks is 10 points away from becoming the 14th UNLV women's basketball player in school history to reach 1,000 career points. Current teammates Linda Fr?hlich (12th) and Kinesha Davis (13th) are already members of the elite 1,000-point club which includes former Lady Rebel greats Misty Thomas, Pauline Jordan and Gwynn Hobbs. Jinks also ranks 18th all-time with her current 224 career assists. The Lady Rebels' top playmaker is fifth in the Mountain West Conference in assists, averaging 4.47 apg.

BACK TO THE MACK
Three doubleheaders are on tap this season, in conjunction with UNLV men's basketball games in the Thomas & Mack Center. The Lady Rebels will take on UC Santa Barbara on Dec. 30, Brigham Young on Feb. 28 and Utah on March 2, as part of the return to the Mack. Both doubleheader games against BYU and Utah will have a tip-off at 5 p.m. UNLV will also play San Diego State (Jan. 12), Air Force (Jan. 24) and New Mexico (Jan. 26) in the TMC, due to scheduling conflicts in the Cox Pavilion.

FR?HLICH REACHES MORE MILESTONES
Senior All-American candidate Linda Fr?hlich became the first Lady Rebel in school history to reach 2,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds. Fr?hlich reached the 2,000 point (2,133 points to-date) and 1,000 rebound plateau (1,012 rebounds to-date) after scoring a game-high 25 points and six boards against Wyoming on Jan. 17. Fr?hlich needs to grab 83 more boards to surpass two-time All-American Pauline Jordan's (1987-90) all-time school record of 1,094 career rebounds.
