LAS VEGAS - The sweep is complete as UNLV junior guard Constance Jinks scored a game-high 29 points to guide the Lady Rebels to a 72-60 come-from-behind victory against Mountain West Conference rival New Mexico, 72-60, Saturday night at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Jinks, who hails from Chicago, Ill., completed a fastbreak layup courtesy of teammate Julia Gray (Riverside, Calif.) at the 10:37 minute mark of the second half, to give UNLV a 51-50 jump in the lead. The Lady Rebels, who were down by 13 points to the Lobos at halftime, climbed back to their 12-point win from that point on. Gray had three of the team's 11 steals of the game.

In the first half of play, sophomore center Petra Gl?ser (Amtsberg, Germany) scored 11 of her 19 points of the night, going 7-of-13 from the field and 5-of-6 from the free throw line. Senior All-American candidate Linda Fr?hlich (Oldendorf, Germany) added a near double-double with 11 points and a game-high nine rebounds.

Senior sharpshooters Erin Johansson (Enumclaw, Wash.) and Kinesha Davis (Brooklyn Center, Minn.) contributed key 3-pointers to narrow the gap against the Lobos.

Once again, the Lady Rebels shattered a school all-time record for home attendance, with an announced crowd of 4,713. UNLV is now in a second-place tie in the league standings with a 16-3 overall, 4-2 MWC mark, along with UNM, who drops to 15-5 overall, 4-2 MWC.

The series sweep of New Mexico gave the Lady Rebels their fourth-straight home victory against the Lobos - and put UNLV coach Regina Miller's all-time career record versus UNM to 6-1.

UNLV hits the road next week for league matchups with Utah on Thursday, Jan. 31 at 6 p.m. (PST) and BYU on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 3 p.m. (PST) for the first time this season. Both games to be broadcast locally on KENO 1460 AM radio and via an Internet link on unlvrebels.com.
