Final Stats
LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The UNLV women's golf team saved its worst round for the final day of the Price's Give 'Em Five Intercollegiate, shooting 313 on Wednesday to fall from eighth place to 12th.
Only sophomore Hwanhee Lee (78-75-74--227) was able to match her production from Tuesday's best team round of 306. Lee shot 74 on Tuesday to climb back into the top 20.
Freshman Sunny Oh (74-75-77--226), who began the day looking for a top-10 finish in just her second collegiate tournament, fired her worst round of the event with a five-over 77. She still managed to stay in the top 20, tying for 15th place.
Rounding out the Rebels' scorecard for the day were Young Pak (85-75-79--239), who finished tied for 60th; Elena Kurokawa (75-84-83--242) in a 70th-place tie, and Christine Hentzner (84-81-83--248), who tied for 88th.
Baylor shot a team 293 to overtake host New Mexico State for the team title. The Aggies' Alena Sharp fired a second straight sub-par round to hold on to medalist honors.
The Rebels return to the links on Oct. 18, when they compete at the Mercedes Benz Women's Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn.
