SAN FRANCISCO (UNLVRebels.com) – Four Rebels finished in the top 30 as UNLV women's golf concluded play Tuesday at the Juli Inkster Invitational at TPC Harding Park (Par 72, 6,275 yards) co-hosted by San Francisco and San José State.
REBEL ROUNDUP: Among the Scarlet & Gray's top performers, junior
Zi Yu Foong (+7) tied for 13th, sophomore
Amber Chen (+8) tied for 17th, freshman
Demi Du (+9) tied for 24th and freshman
Lana Yamagata (+10) – who led the team's final round with a 1-under 73 – tied for 29th. Completing the lineup was freshman
Yen Liu (+25), who tied for 72nd.
CHAMPIONS: Co-host SJSU overtook Cal by one shot for the team title at 11-over 75. The Golden Bears' Constance Fouillet ended up sharing co-medalist honors with Sacramento State's Tova Hatton at 3-under 213 for the tournament.
As a team, the Rebels (+34) found themselves in the top half of competitors, coming in seventh among a 14-team field. They moved up two spots in the standings after ending day one in ninth place.
UP NEXT: UNLV has two events remaining during the regular season, including the local Jackrabbit Invitational in Boulder City at Boulder Creek Golf Club from March 16-17.
