LAS VEGAS - Senior Constance Jinks (Chicago, Ill.) and sophomore Sherry McCracklin (Hazel Crest, Ill.) scored in double figures as the UNLV women's basketball team defeated Strakonice Czech Republic, 74-58, in exhibition play Saturday night at the Cox Pavilion.

Jinks, an All-America candidate, led all scorers and rebounders with a game-high 33 points and seven rebounds. McCracklin scored 19 points, brought down five rebounds and had two blocks. Senior defensive specialist Julia Gray (Riverside, Calif.) had six steals in the foreign exchange.

For Strakonice, Jana Kleckova poured in a team-high 25 points on long-range shooting, while teammate Vendula Mackova added 10 points. Strakonice placed fifth in the top Czech women's basketball league during the 2002 season.

UNLV led the entire way. In the second half, the Lady Rebels held their largest lead (29 points) of the game on two free throws made by Jinks at 11:01. The team shot 67 percent from the free throw line on 21 fouls committed by Strakonice.

Up next, the Lady Rebels will open the regular season at home versus Saint Mary's College on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 7:35 p.m. in the Cox Pavilion.
