Linda Fr?hlich Probable For Wyoming Game

Feb. 15, 2002

LAS VEGAS - Barring unforeseen circumstances, UNLV women's basketball senior All-America candidate Linda Fr?hlich is expected to play in the Lady Rebels' game against Mountain West Conference-rival Wyoming on Saturday, Feb. 16.

Fr?hlich has missed the last two games while the University withheld her from competition upon further review by the NCAA on the status of her amateur eligibility. Fr?hlich, a German native and the team's leading scorer and rebounder, sat out games against San Diego State on Feb. 9 and 15th-ranked Colorado State on Feb. 14. Both were UNLV victories.

"Based upon the review with the NCAA this week, we believe the facts presented to them are positive and we are comfortable in allowing Linda to compete tomorrow night," Senior Associate Athletics Director Jerry Koloskie said.
