STORYLINE: Although the Peg Barnard Collegiate looks like a Pac-10 Tournament preview with eight of the league's schools competing, the tourney will serve as a conference warm-up for all 14 squads, including the UNLV women's golf team. The Rebels will play in Stanford's 36-hole gala on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14 as its last regular season competition before the Mountain West Conference Championship on April 22-24. Tee times will begin at 8:30 a.m. on each day at the Stanford Golf Course (Par 72--6,154 Yards).

ABOUT UNLV: The first-year program erupted into the spring portion of its schedule with a number of school-record performances at the Lady Aztec Invitational in San Diego on Feb. 18-19. Touted freshman Hwanhee Lee was the headliner, recording her first collegiate win as well as the school's first. Lee came from behind to win the 36-hole tourney and captured Player of the Month honors from both the Mountain West Conference and Golf World magazine. The Rebels are currently ranked 23rd in the West District, but remain on the bubble for a potential NCAA Regional berth because of their head-to-head record against other schools in the region.

FIELD: Stanford hosts 13 other teams, including all but two of the Pac-10 schools. Joining the Cardinal are: Arizona State, California, Long Beach State, Nevada, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Southern California, UCLA, UNLV, Washington and Washington State.

LINEUP: UNLV will use the same lineup for the Peg Barnard Collegiate as it has all spring: junior Erin Borcherts, sophomore Autumn Monteiro, and freshmen Christine Hentzner, Hwanhee Lee and Tina Mabanta.

HEAD COACH KELLEY HESTER: UNLV women's golf head coach Kelley Hester is in her first season as UNLV's mentor and second overall as a head coach. The University of Georgia graduate spent one season at the helm at Mercer University before returning to her alma mater as an assistant coach for two seasons. Hester was a four-year letterwinner for the Bulldogs, earning All-SEC accolades three times and Academic All-America kudos twice.

RESULTS: Complete results from the Peg Barnard Collegiate can be found online following each round at unlvrebels.com.

UP NEXT: Following the Peg Barnard Collegiate, the Rebels head to Sunriver, Ore., for their first Mountain West Conference Championship, April 22-24.
