FORT COLLINS, Colo. (UNLVRebels.com) – Led by three players shooting par or better, UNLV women's golf sits in sixth as the second round was halted Monday at Colorado State's Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic at Ptarmigan Country Club (Par 72, 6,468 yards).
REBEL ROUNDUP: With four holes left in the day's originally scheduled 36 holes, junior
Zi Yu Foong holds the current fifth-place spot at 4-under. She is joined among the day-one Rebel leaders by sophomore
Amber Chen and freshman
Demi Du in a tie for 17th at even-par. Also making up the Scarlet & Gray lineup in their Rebel debuts, are freshmen
Almina Erdogan (+4) and
Yen Liu (+6) tied for 45th and 56th, respectively.
LEADERBOARD: Taking the early team lead is Colorado at 17-under, while the Buffaloes' Maya McVey and Cal State Fullerton's Davina Xanh are the current individual frontrunners at 7-under. The Rebels, meanwhile, find themselves at 1-under and just one shot outside of fifth place.
UP NEXT: The tournament's second round resumes Tuesday at approximately 7 a.m. PT, with continuous play leading into the final round.
