COLUMBUS, Ohio - UNLV was one of 15 teams still playing the first round of the NCAA Men's Golf Championship on Wednesday when rain suspended play at 4:26 p.m. EDT.

The Rebels, who sit tied for 17th place at four-over in their partially completed round, will resume first round action on Thursday morning. After beginning the day at the 10th tee, UNLV was stretched between holes two and four when play was suspended.

Of the 15 teams in the morning wave to complete the opening round, Colorado emerged atop the leaderboard with a four-over 280. The Buffaloes' senior player Ben Portie has the top score in the clubhouse after a five-under 66, but Washington's Brock Mackenzie was tied with Portie after 14 holes.

Illinois, Georgia Tech and Washington all sit ahead of the Buffaloes on the leaderboard, but each still have holes to play on the back nine.

Leading the way for UNLV was freshman Ryan Moore, who used three straight birdies on the front nine to hang around the leaders. Moore bogeyed his 11th hole, slipping to two-under par before rain halted play.

Moore was the only Rebel to claim a better-than-par score at the rain break. Brien Davis sits the closest, currently one-over through 13 holes. Both J.C. Deacon and Brandon Askew completed 12 holes and sit two-over and four-over respectively. Clark Corbett's three-over par score through 11 leaves his team at four-over.

First-round play will resume Thursday morning at 7:00 a.m., and the Rebels' second round, originally scheduled for 7:45 a.m., will begin immediately following the completion of Round 1.
