EL PASO, Texas - UNLV junior golfer Ryan Moore was one of 29 players selected to play in the 29th Annual Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic, set for Nov. 23-25 at the El Paso Country Club (Par 71, 6,781 Yards).
The All-America Classic, hosted by the Sun Bowl Association, is an exempt tournament with no team play. The field consists of individuals who were chosen to the GCAA All-America team the previous year.
This will mark Moore's second trip to El Paso. He competed in last year's tournament, finishing 17th of 24 at 10-over par.
This year's field of 29 is the largest ever to vie for the title with 45 eligible All-Americans returning to college play this year.
Two Rebels have All-America Classic victories on their resumes. PGA Tour star Chris Riley won the event in 1993, while three-time All-American Jeremy Anderson captured the title five years later.
With Moore's selection, the Sun Bowl Association awards a $1,000 scholarship to the UNLV men's golf program.
