LAS VEGAS - For the second straight day, the New Mexico Lobos shot even par to post the best score of the day and retain the lead after two rounds at the Las Vegas Founders Women's Collegiate Showdown on Tuesday.

The Lobos have a 15-stroke lead over the rest of the field after carding an even 288 in both of the first two rounds.

Leading New Mexico is Katrina Leckovic, who moved from second place to first at the par-72, 6,194-yard Anthem Country Club by shooting even par on Tuesday. Both Leckovic and Oklahoma's Lisa Meldrum carded 72 and moved past first-round leader Trisha Quick of Colorado State, who shot 75.

UNLV improved on the second day at its home course, shooting a team 296 to move up two spots on the leaderboard. Although the Rebels trail the Lobos by 26 strokes, they are just two strokes behind Kent State and could move even further with a productive final round.

Junior Hwanhee Lee has been the Rebels' top player. She followed her opening 74 with an even-par 72 and is tied for eighth place on the overall leaderboard.

Sophomore All-American Sunny Oh rebounded from a rocky first round to card a 74 on Tuesday and move to seven-over for the tourney.

Elena Kurokawa's 73 toward the Rebels' team score helped lower the total. Kurokawa is now tied for 32nd at nine-over par.

Freshman Seema Sadekar and sophomore Young Pak both shot 77, rounding out the Rebels' team effort.

Wednesday's final round will begin at 8:30 a.m. PST with a shotgun start.
