UNLV welcomes Georgia Southern, Richmond, and San Diego to the 2003 Lady Rebel Shootout on Saturday-Sunday at the Cox Pavilion. The Lady Rebels are looking to take the 2003 tournament title after dropping the 2002 championship game to UCLA. Georgia Southern and Richmond will tip off the first game on Saturday at 2 p.m., followed by UNLV and San Diego at 4:30 p.m.. On Sunday, San Diego will take on either Georgia Southern or Richmond at 2 p.m., while UNLV will play the other team at 4:30 p.m. in either the championship or consolation game, depending on Saturday's results.

The Lady Rebels have been strong at home under head coach Regina Miller, with a 56-17 record over her six years at UNLV, including a 19-3 record in the three-year old Cox Pavilion. For them to win on Saturday against San Diego, they will have to cut down on their turnovers, as they were forced into 31 against UCLA on Sunday in a 61-51 loss. However, San Diego is averaging just 5.0 steals per game, and the Lady Rebels look to have an advantage on the boards, as they have an impressive +17.5 rebounding margin through their first two games, and are averaging 53.0 rebounds per contest.

UNLV will also be looking to improve to 8-0 all-time against San Diego. The Lady Rebels have never played Georgia Southern or Richmond.
