LOS ANGELES - Two teams with long winning streaks will face off Monday night as UNLV takes on the host Loyola Marymount Lions on the final leg of their California road trip. The Lady Rebels are 5-1 on the season, and have won four straight since a 61-51 loss at UCLA on Nov. 21, while LMU is 6-1, and have a six-game win streak of their own after dropping their season opener at NC State 84-50 on Nov. 21.

Monday's game is being played in Gersten Pavilion, which is also the site of Regina Miller's first career win as the UNLV head coach, as the Lady Rebels opened the 1998-99 season with a 62-57 victory over the Lions. Miller is now searching for her 99th win at UNLV, one win away from reaching the 100 victory plateau.

The Lady Rebels are looking for their third straight win on the road as well, while LMU is a perfect 3-0 at home this season. However, the Lions have never defeated UNLV in five tries, including three losses in Los Angeles.

UNLV will look to continue its strong play on the boards and on defense. The Lady Rebels are outrebounding their opponents by 13.8 rebounds per contest which ranks them third in the country, and they also lead the Mountain West Conference in steals at 12.2 per game (32nd in the nation).
