UNLV Defeated By Wyoming, 90-80

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Donta Richardson scored 25 points to lead Wyoming to a 90-80 victory over UNLV Saturday night.

The Cowboys (16-3, 4-0 Mountain West Conference) shot 52.7 percent from the field and never trailed.

Wyoming opened a 20-point lead with 10:11 to play and Richardson was a perfect 8-for-8 from the foul line in the last five minutes to seal the victory.

UNLV (12-6, 1-4), shot 42.4 percent from the field including 2-of-15 from the three-point line in losing to the Cowboys for the third-straight time.

Wyoming had five players in double figures including 19 from Jay Straight and 17 from Joe Ries.

Marcus Banks led the Rebels with 24 points. Dalron Johnson added 16 points and 10 rebounds.

The Rebels stayed within reach early, but were outscored 8-3 in the final four minutes of the first half and trailed 42-33 at the break.

Uche Nsonwu-Amadi added 11 points and 10 rebounds for Wyoming, while David Adams scored 10.
