STILLWATER, Okla. - The UNLV men's golf team shot a seven-over par 295 in the third round of the NCAA Championship and sit in seventh place after play on Thursday at Karsten Creek Golf Course.

The Rebels are 44-over par for the tournament after Thursday's round and sit in seventh place, 20 strokes behind Clemson. At 24-over par, the Tigers lead the event by one stroke over host Oklahoma State.

Individually, Auburn's Lee Williams retained the lead after carding a 71 in the third round. Rebel sophomore Ryan Moore dropped a bit off his pace, shooting 75 on Thursday to slip from fourth to 17th.

Travis Whisman was the hot Rebel on Thursday, shooting a one-under 71 to lead the team. He improved to 13-over par and sits in a tie for 40th place.

A 73 from freshman Ryan Keeney and a 76 from senior Brien Davis rounded out the Rebels' team score of 295. JC Deacon's 80 was discarded.

Down by 20 strokes, the Rebels begin the final round at the par-72, 7,095-yard Karsten Creek Golf Course at 9:45 a.m. CDT.
