ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The UNLV women's basketball team, off to its best-ever start in 11 years at 15-2, and New Mexico (11-6) meet on Saturday night at 7 pm in the Pit in a key matchup, as UNLV looks to remain unbeaten in the MWC, while New Mexico is just one game back. In MWC play, UNLV is 2-2 in the Pit under coach Regina Miller, one of just two teams to have split their meetings with New Mexico in Albuquerque (along with BYU) in the five year history of the MWC.

UNLV is one of two undefeated teams in the conference (along with Utah), is riding a 10-game win streak, which is fifth-best in the nation, are 11-0 at home this year, and are receiving votes in this week's AP Top 25 Coaches' Poll. They are dominating the conference statistics, as a Lady Rebel leads the conference in seven of the 12 categories, including scoring, rebounding, and blocks. A Lady Rebel has also been named MWC Player of the Week six out of 10 weeks this season.

The Lady Rebels have been on a tear offensively, scoring 75.6 points per game, and have averaged a blistering 81.5 ppg in conference action. UNLV is a perfect 13-0 when they score 70 or more points, all but two of their 14 wins this year have been by 10 points or more, have reached 90 points three times this season, and their +15.5 winning margin is also top in the conference. Three Lady Rebels are averaging over 14 points a game to none for New Mexico, and four different players have scored at least 20 points this year for UNLV.
