Las Vegas - UNLV women's golf climbed three spots to 14th place after shooting a 303 (+23) Saturday in the second round of the 42 Annual Stanford/Pepsi Intercollegiate Showdown held at the Stanford Golf Course in Palo Alto, Calif. The tournament features 10 of the top-30 teams in the country in the 18-team field.

Seema Sadekar shot an even-par 70, eight shots better than her opening round Friday, to lead the Rebels and move into the tie for 34th with a two-round score of 148 (+8). Sadekar joins teammate Elena Kurokawa in 34th after the senior shot her second-consecutive round of 74 to card a two-total total of 148 as well. Allison Chell is tied for 63rd after shooting a 78 (+8) for a two-day total of 154 (+14). Tina Mabanta is tied for 73rd after shooting a 79 for a second-round total of 156 (+16) and Young Pak is alone in 76th after shooting a 78 for a total of 157 (+17) heading into Sunday's final round.

Leading the tournament is Anastasia Kostina of Washington State who shot a two-under 68 for the second straight day for a total of 136 (-4). Trailing her by one stroke are Louise Stahle of Arizona State and Cassandra Kirkland of Arizona. who both shot three-under 67 and have a two-day total of 137 (-3). Chris Brady and Paige Mackenzie are three strokes off the pace after two rounds at 139 (-1).

Arizona State has a commanding lead in the team competition with a two-day total of 564 (+4). The Sun Devils are ranked No. 9 in the country. No. 16 Pepperdine is in second (575, +15), No. 3 UCLA is third (576, +16), No. 5 Washington sits in fourth (578, +18) and host-Stanford is in fifth (580, +20) heading into the final round.

Teams will tee of at 8:00 a.m. (PST) to start Sunday's final round at the Stanford Golf Course, a par-70 course measuring 6,168 yards.
