SAMMAMISH, Wash. - UNLV settled down after a rough opening round and is in ninth place after two rounds at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational as the Rebels shot a 307 as a team Tuesday at Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Wash., for a two-day total of 625 (+49).

The Rebels improved by 11 strokes from their opening round score of 318 and the team's 307 was the third-lowest round of the day.

A heavy fog delayed the start of the second round by 90 minutes for the second consecutive day.

Elena Kurokawa continued her steady play for UNLV, carding a 77 (+5) to finish the second round tied for 18th with a two-day score of 153. Although the junior shot one stroke higher on Tuesday, Kurokawa's teammates all had better rounds. The biggest improvement for the Rebels came from senior Hwanhee Lee. After carding a disappointing 85 to start the tournament, Lee rebounded with a two-over 74, the lowest round by a Rebel in the tournament. The eleven stroke swing gave Lee a two-day total of 159 and moved her into a tie for 36th after starting the second round tied for 63rd.

Allison Chell shot a 77 (+5) and is in 26th place with a score of 155, Seema Sadekar is tied with Lee with an overall score of 159 after shooting a 79 and Young Pak rounded out the Rebels with a 79 for a two-day total of 163 (+19).

Kay Hoey of Long Beach State and Kimberly McCready of Oregon are both three strokes off the pace with scores of 146 heading into the final round.

Oklahoma State's total of 597 (+21) leads the overall team battle by seven strokes over Oregon (604, +28) heading into the final round. USC is third with a 605 (+29), Pepperdine is fourth at 614 (+38) and Washington State is fifth with a 615 (+39).
